Wang, Xiu-Qi is a famous sculptor in Taiwan. His works of stone carving are perfectly fused and fine. The nature of human beings is wonderfully expressed through his works. He acquires proficiency in carving and expresses the emotion and innoncence in his art works. He thinks that the form and power of sculpture is limited, it’s more important to deliver self-experience and real feelings in the art work, instead of emphasizing on the appearances. There are 17 exhibits in this exhibition, they are “A Glance”, “Mother and Son”, “Moonlight in the Mountain”, “Breeze in the Pine Trees”, “Good Fortune Ox”, “Yueqin, a four-stringed plucked instrument”, “Relax”, “Daughter’s Heart”, “Resonance Between Two Lovers”, “Mother Earth”, “Mother’s Love”, “Rest”, “Care”, “Beloved”, “Reading Fun”, “The Son of Lotus”, “Sweet Music”, materials used include Greece white stone, bluestone, andesite, white marble, Aurora, plastic soil ,illusion stone, Cinnabar stone and so on.
